COLOR GRADING

Color grading is a the process of bringing out the best possible version of a photo. In this example the details and colors of the photo were enhanced to make these beautiful ladies look their best! Color grading can also be used to change the color of one specific thing such as clothing, cars and eyes.

MASKING

Other times on top of color grading sometimes we need to add or remove things from the photo to make it look just right. In this case the people in the background were removed to make the bride the sole focus. Masking is by no means limited to wedding guests, this can be done with just about everything. Cars, buildings, pimples, braces even heads.

SUPERIMPOSING

Which brings me to my next point, superimposing is laying two pictures on top of each other so as to only let specific parts show. In this example little Mateo got his head swapped to version that is more flattering. Superimposing is very useful for making sure everyone is looking their best at the same time!

COMPOSITING

This is by far the most difficult and time consuming form of editing. It utilizes skills from all 3 of the previously mentioned techniques. However the possibilities with this technique are endless, from swimming deep within the ocean with sharks to being transported to a medieval castle. The only limit is your imagination.
